Positive Change . . . finding a voice for my thoughts!!!!

This is a post that I put up on my blog awhile back. But now I am placing it here again because I feel inspired that maybe there are people in the political realm that stand for truth, justice and integrity. Change for Change's sake is worthless. We need positive change along with a tight firm grasp on the beliefs that make up our foundation as a country and for me as a Christian. That is why I posted this again on my blog while adding my support for McCain and Palin!

Fight for Truth and an Enhanced belief in this country, Our Country!

Apathy

no feeling
no cause
no fighting
no war
no freedom

only defeat

I don't want to tell God in the end that I did nothing . . . that is a scary thought.
God wasn't always peacful, but He did and will always represent the Truth!

Hanna & Coffee: They're both Pop ular

Just recently, this new coffe house in a boutique area put of some of my work on their walls for me to sell. The really fun part is that they had to have this one picture especially. And the picture was Hanna:) Hanna is famous again. (smile) First the magazine and now her picture is hanging in a special coffee house. We went by tonight for her to see it and listened for a minute to the guitar players who were singing for all the coffee drinkers.

Proud "Momj"

There is nothing that could make this mother prouder then to have a little girl who cares about others genuinely. This past Sunday my parents were in town visiting. My dad and Hanna were playing tennis when they came back with an ill bird. Hanna came running to tell me. The little bird was almost lifeless. We started giving it water with a small dropper. It started to perk up. Then we saw that there was a hole where the bird’s food was. My dad cleaned the wound, and we placed the lovely bird in a box covered with a towel. However, not even 30 minutes later, it died. Hanna was already attached to it so she wrote this note for the bird that warmed my heart. Soon we will do our usual ritual and attach the letter to a balloon and send it soaring to Heaven!

It's weird to think that my mom was younger then I am now in this picture taken when she was voted "College Sweetheart"! Time flies! Before I know it, Hanna will be in college. But there are alot of Mother's days between now and then to celebrate and what could be better then perfect weather and flowers?

Time Flies . . . when you're having fun!

Salutations, my friends!

I thought that I would mention a few things.
Did you know that when you become a mother you find yourself having to be a "jack of all trades"? Grandparents’ day just passed at Hanna's school and not only was I the teacher for her class that day, but she was also wearing a homemade costume. The class has been studying insects lately and so each student was told to make a costume to go with their insect. Hanna was supposed to be a cricket. So as usual I wanted to endeavor to make something because everyone knows that it is so much more fun that way :)! Besides, where would I even find a pre made Cricket costume other than in my dream. Yes, I was so worried about the costume that I even dreamed that I was walking in the streets and stumbled across the most gorgeous cricket costume. But then I woke up and realized that time was passing and I needed to come up with something. . . . so after much thought Hanna became Little Miss Cricket! And I didn't even have to sew anything (yea!).
However, there is one problem: Time flies by so fast that it seemed like yesterday that Hanna was sooooo little. Now it looks ridiculous if I pick her up because her legs hang almost to the ground. She has less than 30 days left of 2nd grade and turns 8 years old this summer. Yikes! What happened? It seems like everyone around me is having babies so it's hard to believe that I have an almost 3rd grader who will be learning Latin, who plays soccer, trots on horses, sings in Spanish and talks faster than any human should possibly be able to talk!
I enjoyed every stage so far of her life. Each year is my new favorite year with her; however, I miss the littleness of when she was a baby. It's like the charm of wanting a baby puppy to stay little forever. I guess that I want the "Best of Both Worlds" :) (Hanna's favorite Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus song)
I guess the next member of our family will have to be a baby . . . . . . Puppy!
Then Hanna and I can dress it up and push it around in the baby carriage (poor puppy).
Now, I just have to convince Ash (smile).

This was last year's homemade 80's costume that I put together for Hanna :) Gotta love the blue eyeshadow, scrunchy, crimped hair and did you notice the jelly shoes that Hanna was wearing with her cricket costume?? She thinks jelly shoes are "Awesome!". What is the world coming to? (haha)

It's weird to see how young she looked just last year. I realized recently that I think that I will always remember what she looked like or sounded like, but then a year later I look at a old picture and can't imagine that she has changed so much. Keep taking pictures everyone. . . little ones change faster then we parents realize.

This was a doll that Hanna and I made together called "Daisy".
